Men’s Basketball Earns Academic All-Region Recognition
Western Iowa Tech men’s basketball student-athletes were honored for their work in the classroom as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) announced its Fall 2025 Academic All-Region selections.
The Academic All-Region program highlights student-athletes who meet high academic standards during the fall semester. Across the conference, more than 2,700 student-athletes received recognition, including over 1,700 named to the First Team and nearly 1,000 earning Second Team honors.
For the Comets, eight of the 14 men’s basketball players earned Academic All-Region distinction, showcasing the program’s commitment to academic success alongside competitive play.
Region 11 Academic All-Region Requirements
- First Team: GPA of 3.5–4.0
- Second Team: GPA of 3.0–3.49
- Minimum NJCAA-required credit hours
- Higher of cumulative or semester GPA considered
- All sports recognized each semester
